June 5, 2009 - Article published in The Examiner, based in Independence, Missouri, about our founder and Executive Director, Barbara E. Garrett.
November 1, 2008 - The "Requiem", which has been renamed "Requiem for Broken Souls", was performed at Community Christian Church., Kansas City, Missouri. This year's soloists were Lucille Windsor, Chad Payton, Andrew Childs and Mark J. Van Order. The Chorus was made up from members of the Heartland Men's Chorus and the Kansas City Women's Chorus. CDs can be purchased that are being made from the LIVE recording of the event.
September 25, 2008 - Artistic Advocates for Healing receives its official tax exemption letter from the IRS, notifying us of our 501(c)3 status as a charitable, non-profit organization.
September 14, 2008 - Chorus starts rehearsing for upcoming concert on November 1, 2008.

July 2008 - We have our fifth Guardian - Dr. Alan E. Powell
June 2008 - We have our fourth Guardian - Edith Woodward
April 2008 - We have our third Guardian - Henks Financial Group, have reached 34 members and the charity is now operating in the black.

October 30, 2007 - 501(c)(3) Charity paperwork filed with IRS.
October 25, 2007 - Kansas City Women's Chorus votes to join the Ambassadors to be the Chorus for the performance of "Requiem for Broken Souls"
October 11, 2007 - Battered Souls Advocates becomes Artistic Advocates for Healing. Purpose - will sponsor artistic events and work with other individuals and charitable organizations to promote healing and peace to survivors of violence and abuse and loved ones left behind. The Corporation will be governed by a Board of Directors which includes business experts and others who are committed to support survivors of violence and abuse and loved ones left behind in causing healing and peace for themselves through our events and other charities and organizations.
June 26, 2007 - Dr. Joseph Nadeau agrees to be conductor for the performance of "Requiem for Broken Souls" (originally titled Requiem for Battered Souls). Ambassadors from the Heartland Men's Chorus will be the male half of the Requiem chorus and the date is set for sometime in October 2008.
January 8, 2007 - CDs of the 2006 Requiem for Battered Souls performances that were recorded live, are now available for purchase.
November 10 and 12, 2006 - Premier of "Requiem for Battered Souls" was sponsored. The World Premiere of "Requiem for Battered Souls" was performed at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. It was conducted by Dr. Jason Rinehart with soloists Soprano Wendy Bross, Countertenor Chad Payton, Tenor Joshua Black, Baritone Jeffrey Hon, chorus and orchestra. Approximately 80 people attended the premier with 40 paid and volunteer musicians performing the new work. As we will in the future, paid musicians were hired on a contract by contract basis. Four (4) artists also donated art for a silent auction that was held simultaneously with the event. Event tickets and CDs of the actual premiere performance were and have been sold.
